CamAnalyzer中的noise测试可用于测定module/sensor的noise水平,包括Read Noise(RN), Temporal Noise(TN) 与Fixed Pattern Noise(FPN).
Read Noise (RN)
此测试用于测定sensor的read noise水平。使用两张在相同条件下拍摄的图片,两图偏差的标准方差值即定义为read out noise。
测试准备条件
如标准中所述搭建实验环境,按要求拍摄测试图片。必须确保在每个拍摄setting下,环境均满足全黑条件。
Specification limit
推荐的参考spec为最大gain下read noise不超过2.6.
根据项目不同, IQ工程师可根据实际情况设置适当的spec来进行验证。
- Temporal Noise (TN)
此测试使用所拍摄的一系列图片,进行可扩展度量的temporal noise特性测试。
测试准备条件
如标准文档所述搭建实验环境,按要求拍摄测试图片。必须确保在每个拍摄setting下,环境均满足绝对黑暗。
此处再次强调说明,每个条件需拍摄5张raw图。
Test Result and log naming
需注意temporal noise测试是为了验证不同帧之间的差异,因此拍摄图片不需要进行多帧平均。拍摄时,确保命名顺序与拍摄顺序一致。
Use CamAnalyzer ‘Temporal Noise’ function to load the raw images and then a csv log data file will be saved in the same file folder as where the images stored.
使用CamAnalyzer ‘Temporal Noise’功能,导入图片后,计算结果的csv file会保存在与图片相同的路径中。
目前支持dark和light图片的temporal noise测试.

- Fixed Pattern Noise (FPN)
Fixed pattern noise是non-temporal spatial noise,可通过肉眼观察到竖直/水平条纹、带状、块状等现象。Sensor硬件issue和不良的模组power supply设计都会导致FPN的发生。由于Lab验证中使用的是camera capture board(或development board /test key)来进行raw图拍摄,如果camera capture board确认OK,FPN一般由sensor issue导致。
测试准备条件
与TN拍摄相同,如set5所述搭建实验环境,按要求拍摄测试图片。必须确保在每个拍摄setting下,环境均满足绝对黑暗。除set5所列条件,也可根据需要进行更多setting的测试。如无特别说明,则按set5所列条件进行拍摄。
此处再次强调说明,每个条件需拍摄5张raw图。
Test Result and log naming
FPN分别计算平均后图像rows 和columns方向的偏差。计算结果将生成的row/column’s mean and STD,存入csv文档以便之后的量化分析。

- DSNU ( Dark Signal Non Uniformity)
DSNU test is to find the dark non-uniformity caused by abnormal shading behaviour from dark current and residual sensor surface charge. The dark images described in SET11 shall be captured and processed to calculate the dark signal non-uniformity metrics with the averaged raw image from the captured 5 raws.
Test preparative conditions
As described in capture category SET11, the images shall be captured under the correctly setup environment. Please ensure the test is under absolutely dark with specified exposure/gain sensor settings in SET11 . There might different sensor setting to be tested besides of the default requirement in SET11 before verification starts, otherwise the default requirement shall be utilized.
Be noted again, 5 raw images for every condition shall be captured.

- DPline (defective line test)
Defective line testing is designed to detect any stray rows or columns with unexpected responses. These defects are typically caused by sensor-level defects/damage.
DPline test is measured under both dark and light conditions. Dark condition is same as DPC dark test with SET5 capture environment, while light condition is also same as DPC light condition with SET1 capture environment, but please noted, for light condition under SET1, D50 with DPC off shall be used for this test.
